What we collect
- Account: email address, password (stored only as an Argon2 hash), email verification status.
- Saved searches and alert history you create; API keys (stored hashed).
- Billing: your subscription ID, plan and status from our payment processor (PayPal). We do not receive or store card or bank numbers.
- Security logs: IP address and timestamps for sign-in and rate limiting, retained up to 30 days.
The public site uses no analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies. The web app sets one first-party session cookie (and a CSRF cookie) needed to sign you in.
How we use it
To operate your account, send the alert emails you request, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and send essential service notices (e.g. password reset, billing changes).
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the Service: payment processor (PayPal), email delivery provider , hosting (Liquid Web), and when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Delete your account anytime from the Account page; this removes your account, saved searches and API keys. Billing records may be retained as required for tax/accounting as long as required.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information. Contact alerts@smartekai.net.
Security
HTTPS only, hashed passwords and keys, rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13.
